The International Engineering Students Society (IESS) is a faculty-based society aimed at broadening the outlook and respect for cultural diversity in engineering.

VISION

Our visions are to:

• mould the society to be the focal point for the integration of international and local students via fun and healthy activities
• be the intermediate contact between international students and the faculty
• provide transitional support facilities for international students

MISSION STATEMENT

As a society run by students for students, we aspire to achieve the following individuals:

Faculty & UM Student Union (UMSU): our pillars of support

• our success is contributed by the faculty and UMSU through their support in funds and other needs
• hence, in return, we aim to render our services to the faculty and UMSU whenever needed to continue forming stronger ties with these two entities

• hence, we aim to create an accommodating, enthusiastic and cohesive environment to realize the potential of each committee member
• we aim to instill a performance driven working culture to improve efficiency and maximize productivity
• we recognize the importance of teamwork. thus, the experiences and diversity contributed by each committee member are deemed as essential for the success and growth of the society
